Link Building
One of the most important and difficult things you can do as a local realtor to help your page rank in the search engines is link building.
Search engines look at links as votes of popularity for your website. The more votes a website has the higher the search engines will rank it in the natural search results. Building links to your website is the single most important thing you can do to help your page rank. Link building is a super important part of any SEO strategy.
There are two types of links that you want to build.
Reciprocal links and inbound links.
Reciprocal links are when you link to another website and they link back to you.
Inbound links or one way links are the most valuable type of link you can have. This type of link points to your website, but you don’t have a link on your website pointing back, or reciprocating. Inbound links, more than anything else you can do, can help your page rank to jump in the search engines.
Lets talk about reciprocal links first.
I am going to be very honest and tell you that building reciprocal links can be a pain in the back side. First you have to go out on the internet and look for good websites to link swap with. Then you send an email to the other website and tell them how much you like their website and would they like to trade links. When they email you back and say yes, you have to send them your link and they send you their link. Next you go into your website html or call your webmaster and put the link on your website. Oh yea, don’t forget to check and make sure that your link is on the other website pointing back to you. This whole process takes hours to complete.
However, there is an alternative.
I use the "LinksManager" link building program when I am building links for my wife’s website. It automates the process so you don’t have to spend days doing it by hand. I am sharing this with you because I have tried many different link building software’s and programs and most of them are crap.
There are two things that I really like about LinksManager. When you become a member they will build, at no extra charge, a links page for you that looks exactly like your website. Also, when you become a member, you will instantly have access to thousands of other members to swap links with.
Inside the LinksManager control panel there is a button called "search for link partners". Click that button and from there you can request a link swap with other members. You can also choose, by topic, what type of website you would like to exchange links with. Everything is automated, you don’t have to send emails or, make any phone calls. You simply click one button and your link
request is on the way. It’s great for reciprocal linking.
